About our firm

History

Our firm was founded in 1974 by Marcel Grégoire, former Minister of the Justice, and was named “Grégoire”. Since the beginning the firm has been a business law firm in the broadest sense, practising economic law, financial law, commercial law, labour law, tax law, the law of torts and contract law in general. Litigation has always been an important aspect of our practice.

The firm merged twice. The first time in 1992 with Linsmeau-Van Parijs, a firm specialized in banking and distribution law, and a second time in 2001 with Carre-Maréchal-Verdeyen, a firm focused on insurance and liability.

On 1 June 2004 we changed our name into Praxislaw and moved to our new and present offices.

On 1 September 2005 the European law departments of Beachcroft Wansbrough, a London law firm, and of Karsenty, a Paris law firm, have joined us in our offices.

Philosophy

Our experience, gained over the past 30 years, allows us to offer our clients, a full service, which meets all their legal needs, both on a national and international level.

To achieve this goal we follow certain core values and directions, embodied in what we like to call our PACT:

  • Practice areas covering the whole range of legal services;
  • Availability of our lawyers, partners and associates;
  • Cost control, allowing us to offer an excellent service at a competitive price;
  • Tradition and respect for the fundamental rules of conduct: we believe that those values are our guarantee of success.
